Biped 2 GDC 2025 Preview – Left Foot, Right Foot

Featuring a unique movement mechanic, players will set out to put one foot in front of the other with the release of Owlcat Games, META Publishing, and NEXT Studios Biped 2.
Promising thrills, chills, and four-player co-op mayhem, Gamers Heroes recently dove into unique Biped 2’s world – see what’s to come in our hands-on preview.
Biped 2 GDC 2025 Preview – Left Foot, Right Foot
Proving that even the tiniest robots are capable of great things, Biped 2’s platforming action has players traversing the wildest of worlds as they set out to activate the main beacon and save the planet.
In order to get from point A to point B and collect some shiny coins for hats along the way, Biped 2 features a bipedal setup that has players controlling one’s two legs to move around. While players can glide around if they so choose, sometimes the proper tools for the job are one’s two feet.
On that note, our solo playtime with Biped 2 had us clicking the left and right mouse to move our little robot around. However, with ticking time bombs, rotating platforms, and even hang-glider segments, there was never a dull moment.
Much like riding a bicycle, movement in Biped 2 becomes second nature before too long. While we were fumbling around like a little baby out of the gate, its intuitive movement system allows us to do feats of fancy like shift our weight, scurry along, and more.

While we played Biped 2 in its single-player mode, the title also supports local/online co-op for two players, along with local/online cross-platform online co-op for up to four players.
Biped 2 is set to provide a meaty adventure for heroes too, promising more than eight hours of content in its single-player mode, more than eight hours in its co-op mode, and another six hours in four player co-op mode.
Rounding things out is a level editor on both PC and consoles, with Steam Workshop support for the former – just the thing for the creative (and possibly sadistic?) types.
Biped 2 comes out on the right foot, featuring an intuitive movement system that is equal parts unique and fun.
Biped 2 will come out for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC, and will support cross-platform play.
Want to check out Biped 2 for yourself? A free demo is currently available for the PC via Steam.
