Rhythm-Based Dungeon Crawler GRIDbeat! Now Available

Featuring dungeons, danger, and rhythm-based action, players can crawl to the beat with the new release of Ridiculous Games and Acclaim’s rhythm-based dungeon crawler GRIDbeat

Taking control of a hacker that breached Knoss.OS, GRIDbeat! has players syncing with the system as they time all movements, take part in combat in AI gatekeepers, and step to the rhythm.

Dan Kingdom, Creative Director at Ridiculous Games, said the following:

“We built GRIDbeat! around one idea: that incredible feeling when you’re completely in sync with the music.

Every design decision, from level layouts to enemy behavior to the soundtrack, was made to serve that.

I’m also proud that it’s still true to the very first playable demo we ever made, and that the core idea is still the beating heart of the game.

It’s been a long road getting it right, but I truly believe there’s something very cool here, and I can’t wait for players to jump in and try it for themselves.”

GRIDbeat! Senior Producer Jaime Bencia also said the following:

“We’re incredibly excited to finally bring GRIDbeat! to players this week. This has been a true labor of love for our team at Ridiculous Games.

Years of iteration, experimentation, and passion went into making the rhythm feel just right. We set out to create something that’s not only fun, but genuinely feels amazing to play, and we can’t wait for everyone to experience it.

Huge thanks to our partners at Acclaim for helping us bring this vision to life.”

GRIDbeat! is now available for both the Nintendo Switch and the PC via Steam for a cool $19.99.
