Press The Button Or Refuse In RoboCop Unfinished Business

At the end of The Perfect Pitch mission in RoboCop Unfinished Business, players are given a difficult choice as Miranda decides whether to press the button or refuse to press the button

During the cut-scene, players are shown two men strapped to electric chairs. In the middle of the room, on the table, lies a button. The two men are the individuals who chased the player down the back alleys during the previous mission, one of whom left her with a permanent scar.

If You Press The Button

Miranda presses the button, and both of the men who chased and assaulted her are electrocuted and die. She has an ominous look on her face following the execution.

If You Refuse To Press The Button

Miranda refuses to press the button, but Cassius grabs her hand and forces her to hit the button. Both of the men are electrocuted until they are dead.

Outcome & Story Impact

Miranda’s response in both situations differs slightly. A part of her seems to enjoy pressing the button, watching as her assailants suffer. Whereas, refusing to push the button, she doesn’t watch without direction from Cassius. Ultimately, the immediate result is the same.

Later in the story, whether you choose to press the button or refuse is mentioned briefly and can either pass the blame to Miranda or absolve her of it. If you want to go down the “good guy” route, be sure to refuse to press the button.
