Tell Or Spare John Baker The Truth In RoboCop Unfinished Business

During the side objective Stairs To Heaven, RoboCop learns that the elderly man’s wife has passed away, leading Alex Murphy to make a difficult decision. The player can either tell John Baker the truth or spare him the bad news.

Tell The Truth Choice

If you opt to make this choice, RoboCop shares with John that his wife died several days ago. John shares that his wife was worried he would be the first to die. Now that his wife has passed, he tells RoboCop he doesn’t need to take the “youth pills” anymore, and thanks RoboCop for his help.

Spare Him The Truth Choice

If you make this choice, RoboCop tells John Baker that his wife is okay. John seems relieved, although shares that his “youth pills” are making him feel bad. He plans to take more, so one day he is young enough again to climb the stairs to see his wife.

Choosing to tell John Baker the truth is the better outcome, as it means he’s no longer taking the dangerous medication. However, there is no huge impact on the story’s outcome either way. The rewards for the mission are the same.
