What made the development team want to take on such a robust system?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MercurySteam<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We knew from the start the system had to be that robust.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We wanted players to fully step into Aran de Lira\u2019s boots\u2014to feel what he feels, to know only what he knows.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Blades of Fire is all about immersion. Not just visually or narratively, but through gameplay that puts the weight of every choice\u2014every hammer strike\u2014directly in your hands.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You forge your weapons. You live with the results. The game won\u2019t hand you anything for free.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It only gives what you earn through effort, curiosity, and commitment\u2014both in combat and in story.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That was our north star.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gamers Heroes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On that same note, during the testing periods, were there any strategies or weapon combinations that especially stood out?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MercurySteam<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That\u2019s the beauty of Blades of Fire\u2014there\u2019s no \u201cbest weapon,\u201d no ultimate build. It\u2019s all about how you want to fight.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Love two-handed axes and swords? Go for it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prefer daggers, sabers, or crushing hammers? That\u2019s valid too.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What really changes everything is the steel you use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Different steels, different traits\u2014and you can use any of them to shape the weapon that best matches your style. That\u2019s where the real strategy lies: not just in weapon choice, but in what you make them from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gamers Heroes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm1067800\/\">\u00d3scar Araujo\u2019s<\/a> work on Blades of Fire\u2019s soundtrack is truly fantastic. What went into the sound design of this title &#8211; are there any inspirations the team just had to pull from when it came to direction?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-spotify wp-block-embed-spotify wp-embed-aspect-21-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Spotify Embed: Blades of Fire Soundtrack\" style=\"border-radius: 12px\" width=\"100%\" height=\"352\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/album\/1ZTSZu2CngV3QbMsQOQkgw?utm_source=oembed\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MercurySteam<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Oscar and I wanted a soundtrack that felt like it could have been performed in the era the game is set in\u2014with instruments that existed back then.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And that\u2019s exactly what Oscar delivered.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s not a single modern instrument in Blades of Fire. Some players have created incredible illustrations of Aran and the enemies he faces\u2014others have shared their thoughts about the story and what it meant to them emotionally.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019ve even seen people theorizing about hidden lore and trying to guess the origins of certain weapons or characters. That level of engagement is everything to us\u2014it reminds us why we make games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gamers Heroes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Talking about 505\u2019s love for the community, <a href=\"https:\/\/bladesoffire.com\/en\/demo\/\">I saw that a demo was put together right before launch<\/a>.
