especially when it came to Billy &amp; Mandy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Are there any improv lines &#8211; or lines we may have missed &#8211; that you&#8217;re especially proud of that were spur of the moment?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pete Capella&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I don&#8217;t think they let us improvise much in the Sonic games\u2026&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But if you watch <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@TheMostPopularGirls\">The Most Popular Girls in School<\/a>, when it came to most of those lines, the creators were so generous in letting us improvise the entire time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Most Popular Boys in School | MPGIS S1 | Episode 4\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/y00LDb7sJzo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gamers Heroes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I haven&#8217;t seen it, but it&#8217;s in my queue right now.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What would you say is your most proud improv moment from that show in particular?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pete Capella&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I don&#8217;t know that there is just one\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So that was the first time I had the opportunity to play a queer character.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That was so scary to me, because I&#8217;m not &#8211; I&#8217;m a cis male.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I went to all of my LGBTQ+ friends and I said: \u201cHey, can I do this?\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And they were like: \u201cYeah, but just don&#8217;t make it stereotypical.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So improvising in that world was just like,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHey man, don&#8217;t just do your typical gay jokes &#8211; find something human about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That&#8217;s the stuff I think I&#8217;m most proud of. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the last season of that show, there are some beautiful, heartfelt moments that were improvised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They weren&#8217;t just like jokes back and forth, but just some beautiful drama.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I thought that was cool!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gamers Heroes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What would you say is your most proud moment from that show?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pete Capella&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you watch the final episode, there&#8217;s a scene between my character and a character called Than &#8211; or Jonathan &#8211; where they just have this beautiful, heartfelt moment at the end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That was my favorite thing to do!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gamers Heroes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So we&#8217;re talking about all these fans that look up to you\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Is there anybody &#8211; whether here or anywhere else &#8211; that you&#8217;ve fanboyed over or were starstruck?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anything goes; it could be TV, movies\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pete Capella&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I loved getting to hang out and meet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0667326\/\">Rob Paulsen<\/a>! We had hour long conversations; he was a hero of mine growing up because I loved the Animaniacs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I met <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000430\/\">Steve Guttenberg<\/a>, who&#8217;s a comedy hero of mine, and we talked for an hour!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meeting these guys, being at these conventions &#8211; it is such a beautiful thing.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Being on this side of the convention where I&#8217;m toe-to-toe with all of my heroes &#8211; it&#8217;s really cool!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gamers Heroes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I totally understand!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamersheroes.com\/game-interviews\/kellen-goff-interview\/\">I was chatting with Kellen Goff<\/a>, and he mentioned that in working with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0074036\/\">Bob Bergen<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0395777\/\">Richard Horvitz<\/a> that he has his own toolbox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Is there anything from these other voice actors they may have added to your own toolbox? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Obviously you&#8217;re doing your own thing!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pete Capella&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sure! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I like hearing about the way things used to be in the industry and the way things have changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;m always listening to how to be, because &#8211; remember &#8211; they call it show business for a reason.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The art part is art, but the other part is business. You have to learn how to promote yourself and be a good business person.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That&#8217;s what I try to take away from those guys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gamers Heroes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I totally understand!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On that note, I know you have your own production company &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/goodboytreatprod\/\">Good Boy Treat Productions<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I saw on Instagram that you seek to find the truth in stories and share their uniqueness.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What would you say is your most fascinating project?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pete Capella&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The most fascinating project never got to go anywhere, unfortunately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We were pitching a show based off of a graphic novel I loved called \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ericgrissom.com\/books\/deadhorse\/\">Deadhorse<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We made a short film that my wife wrote and starred in, and she was absolutely incredible just exploring the idea of an independent woman wanting to have a baby on her own without a husband.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was a really beautiful story that she told.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gamers Heroes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Keeping it short and sweet, I&#8217;ve asked this question to a number of voice actors\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A lot of people are looking to enter the voice acting space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I just got out of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0425061\/\">Eric Vale\u2019s<\/a> panel; all these people look up to people like him, people like you.&nbsp;All these people have been inspired by your work in Sonic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So far, everybody has given me a different, unique answer.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What would you suggest to people looking to enter the voice acting space?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pete Capella&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Remember the second word of voice acting? It&#8217;s all about acting.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nobody loves Silver because of his voice &#8211; he could have had any voice.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was his story and the way the story was brought to life &#8211; like you said, finding that resilience and that inspiration.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Well, that all comes from the acting part of things.
