“Snowguelike” Froggy Hates Snow Launching May 7

A charmingly strange “snowguelike” survival roguelite by Digital Bandidos and Crying Brick, Froggy Hates Snow will launch for PC and consoles May 7.

In this title, players will set out to guide a small frog beyond the safety of his heat bubble into a frozen wilderness.

From there, players will dig through deep interactive snow and reshape their surrounding terrain as they uncover gems and upgrades that help one survive longer, push further, and discover more.

Developer Serhii ‘Serge’ Riabtsev said the following:

“It’s been amazing to watch players and creators connect with Froggy Hates Snow.

I always wanted it to feel a little unusual. It has danger and pressure, but it also has this cozy, playful side where you can just enjoy digging through the snow and seeing what you find. Getting to finally share the release date feels really special.”

Steve Escalante, CEO of Digital Bandidos, also said the following:

“From the moment we played it, we knew Froggy Hates Snow had a personality all its own.

It’s odd but charming, instantly watchable, and full of the kind of emergent moments that players and creators love.

What makes it especially exciting is that it can feel tense and replayable one minute, then surprisingly cozy and relaxing the next.”

Froggy Hates Snow will release for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

In the case of both Xbox and Steam, a Froggy Hates Snow demo is available that allows players to carry progress to the full game.
