GDC Appoints Games Industry Luminary Mark DeLoura as Executive Director of Innovation & Growth

Serving professionals dedicated to the art and science of making games, the Game Developers Conference (GDC) has appointed longtime GDC advisor and video game advocate Mark DeLoura as the Executive Director of Innovation & Growth.
With more than three decades of experience, Mark DeLoura’s career has been defined by an intellectual curiosity and an exploration of the endless possibilities of game development around education, inclusion, civic engagement, and the public good.
Holding titles like journalist, technical director, vice president of technology, consultant, advocate and senior advisor. Mark DeLoura has also helped launch iconic game platforms like the Nintendo 64, the Nintendo GameCube and the PlayStation 3.
Mark DeLoura has also authored programming books, also serving as the editor-in-chief of Game Developer Magazine, helping generations better understand game technology.
