World of Tanks: HEAT Preview – The First Hero-Driven Tank Title!
So how does a hero-driven tank title play out in World of Tanks: HEAT?
Priding itself on “human-machine synergy,” this PvP title has players carefully managing both Elite Agents and their respective tanks.
When it comes to the Elite Agents of World of Tanks: HEAT, each features passive traits, skills, and ultimate abilities ripe for exploration and eventual mastery.
Meanwhile, the titular tanks of World of Tanks: HEAT serve as finely-tuned instruments of destruction. With players carefully planning each loadout with its modular system, they’ll need to be mindful of the strict power cap in play.
During World of Tanks: HEAT’s Closed Beta test, said synergy can be experienced throughout its 5v5 – and 10v10! – modes.
Be sure to read our World of Tanks: HEAT write-up, and scope out a breakdown of each mode below:
- Hardpoint (5v5) – Capture, defend, and hold a rolling series of dynamically changing bases.
- Control (5v5) – Capture and hold a single zone.
- Kill Confirmed (5v5) – Destroy enemies and grab their tokens, or grab your allies’ dropped tokens to deny the other team points.
- Conquest (10v10) – Large teams and multiple capture zones make for a sprawling, dynamic war zone.
No matter the mode, World of Tanks: HEAT requires both coordination and timing to ensure success amidst its nonstop action.
Powering World of Tanks: HEAT is a new proprietary engine built in-house at Wargaming. This engine brings a number of perks to the table, designed for high visual fidelity, scalability, and cross-platform performance.
Featuring 5v5 and even 10v10 battles, World of Tanks: HEAT’s combo of man and machine leads the assault in what amounts to a truly unique hero shooter.
