I saw MONGIL: STAR DIVE has a strong community! What has it been like interacting with fans on platforms like Discord, and what inspired the different tiers of rewards for subscribers?

Jung-ho Lee

Engaging with fans directly through platforms like Discord has been an incredibly rewarding experience. 

Because players could share their feedback while actually trying the game, the conversations were much more active and insightful. 

We’re deeply grateful for the passion and interest shown by the community. 

The tiered pre-registration rewards were designed as a way to give back to that enthusiasm, and we hope players will continue to join us for future tests and events.

I love the different MONGIL: STAR DIVE character introductions, like the one for Narae! What went into the design and lore of each character?

Min-kyun Kim

The priority is always to deliver compelling characters that fit naturally into the Mongil universe and resonate with players. Some are inherited from the original with refined designs, while others are newly created to match the new world and story.

I saw that MONGIL: STAR DIVE will make an appearance at the Tokyo Game Show this year! What went into the design of the events and goodies that you will have for Divers?

Jung-ho Lee

Fans can definitely look forward to the appearance of Nyanners, the mascot of Mongil. We wanted our Tokyo Game Show booth to feel playful and welcoming, and Nyanners’ presence captures that spirit perfectly.

On that same note, I saw that MONGIL: STAR DIVE was at gamescom not too long ago! What were some highlights and favorite moments of the event?

Dong-jo Lee

We are very grateful for the positive reception, which exceeded expectations. It was rewarding for the development team and felt like strong encouragement. The feedback particularly on movement, controls, and UI/UX was invaluable and is already reflected in the build shown at TGS.

Finally, I saw that MONGIL: STAR DIVE will be powered by Unreal Engine 5! What are some of your favorite features of this tool?

Min-kyun Kim

Optimization across PC and mobile is a focus, and Unreal Engine 5 gives us flexibility and power. Combined with support from partners like AMD and Samsung, we are integrating advanced features such as DLSS and FSR to ensure smooth performance even on lower-spec devices.


MONGIL: STAR DIVE will release for the PlayStation 5, mobile devices (via both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store), along with the PC and the Epic Games Store.
