Crimson Moon Preview – A Rockin’ Gothic RPG!

Embodying the form of a Nephilim, Crimson Moon lets players have the power He-Man style as a violent half-human, half-angel hybrid.

However, Crimson Moon’s fight against hell will have players contending with demons, vampires, and dead gods alike.

Whether flying solo or taking part in its co-op action, Crimson Moon allows players to play their way in either a ranged or tank style as they set out to wreak some havoc.

Players will have their normal combat moves in Crimson Moon, with dodge, strike, jump, and parry moves present and accounted for.

However, Crimson Moon also lets players utilize a number of weapons and shield effects that pride themselves on risk-reward choices that need to be made in the most difficult of scenarios.

No need to fear; Crimson Moon features dynamic difficulty scaling for all walks of life.

Those who want to prove their prowess and “git gud” can most certainly do so – we’ll let you solo them.

However, for those who instead feel sharing is caring, Crimson Moon also lets a friend jump into the fray for that crucial assist.

As the Crimson Moon website succinctly puts it: “Your ally is your amplifier.”

Players will also be able to tap into a number of passive effects that greatly change one’s approach. From there, players can stack them and stylize them to their exact liking for the perfect run.

Of course, Crimson Moon will also feature a world just ripe for exploration with the audiovisual presentation to serve as a proud showcase for one’s system.

Featuring a rich Gothic aesthetic, the development team is looking for players to truly understand the motivation of what they’re doing in Crimson Moon as they seek out that lore they so desire.

The same immersion is also being placed in Crimson Moon’s sound design.

From the chanting, to the choir, to the Gothic high-resonance, this is one title just begging to be played with a good pair of headphones – we’ve got just the pair of Sennheisers for the job!

Rise, violent one – Crimson Moon’s rich Gothic world is looking to provide a truly heavenly experience when it launches for PC and consoles later this year.
