How To Combine Weapons In Legend Of Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom

Combining weapons is one of the most exciting new features in Tears of the Kingdom. In this guide on How To Combine Weapons In Legend Of Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom we’ll go over how to unlock the system and how it works. If you’ve watched any of the pre-release trailers or footage, you’ve likely tried combining weapons already but unfortunately, it’s not available at the very start of the game.

At the beginning of The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, you are placed on a large sky island that features several different shrines. Shrines are small, isolated puzzles that requires Link to use his abilities in various ways in order to complete the Shrine, reach the end, and claim the reward. On the starting island there are four shrines and each shrine will give Link a different ability.

If you want to unlock the ability to combine weapons as early as possible, you need to complete the In-isa Shrine The Ability to Combine. This shrine can be found in the very South West corner of the map. There’s a huge lake there that you need to cross. On the other side of the lake is the In-isa Shrine The Ability to Combine.

Simply head inside, complete the shrine, and you will unlock Links ability called Fuse. From that point on, you can activate the ability with a fresh weapon in your hand and combine it with various items and pieces you find on the floor. You can also drop items from your inventory and combine those.
