Find A Way Out Guide For The Alters
After Jan’s ship is stranded, he will need to work with his Alter allies to find a route for the ship to leave the lava fields.
During this main story mission, you are given several objectives to find a way out. The first objective is very simple. You construct a drill and use it to destroy the rocks. Once that step is complete, Jan is tasked with another objective, find a vantage point to look around.
The vantage point Jan needs to reach can be found in the Southeast area of the map. South of the ship, South past the Organics Deposit. Once you reach the location, a cut-scene plays showing Jan and the ship surrounded by lava. The objective then changes to finding a new plan.
Once you have found the vantage point, return to the ship and research Crossing The Lava River under the Mission section of the Research tab.
