How To Unlock New Research Level Tiers In The Alters

Researching new technologies is vital if Jan and his Alters hope to survive sunrise. In this guide, we explain how additional levels and tiers of research can be unlocked, providing access to advances technologies to the team.

You must have Jan Scientist in your base in order to use the Research interface, and must also have a Research Lab constructed in the base. If you have both of these requirements met, you can see the Research interface through the main menu.

There are four different levels of Research available, Level’s 1 through 4, each bringing with it more advanced technologies to help Jan and the Alters survive the challenges of the planet.

To unlock a new tier of research, a new level if you will, Jan needs to upgrade the Quibit Level of the base. The Quibit level of the base is increased when Jan finds a Damaged Chip, uses the Workstation to repair it, and then installs it in the Quantum Computer.

With each new Quibit level increase, a new level of Research becomes available.
