The Barbarian Armor is one of the pieces you can get early. You will need a bomb plant and an arrow but that is it. Head here on the map and be careful inside. There is a Talos waiting to smack you around.
Once inside, look for the flags coming out of the wall and you’ll see some glowing rocks there. Use the bomb and an arrow to blow that wall up. Inside you will see a chest and you will find the Barbarian Armor inside of that. I am not sure if there are more pieces or not, I am still looking.
