Where To Find All Research Institute Locations In Crimson Desert

Many cultures in Crimson Desert offer Research Institutes. These locations give players the opportunity to invest Silver into discovering new materials and technologies. In this guide, we’ll show you where to find each of the Research locations in the game.

The Research Institutions all function in a similar fashion. Players can invest silver into unlocking new features in the game. The first research option requires the player to complete a simple Request quest for the Researcher.

Subsequent research efforts will require increased Fundamental Research Knowledge.

Scholastone Research Institute

The Scholastone Research Institute is likely the first one most players will encounter. It’s tied to a nearby story location, Scholastone.

Pororin Research Institute

When players first attempt to visit Pororin, they will be unable to reach the town. Children will catch the player sneaking in, and a cut-scene plays. Try to enter several more times and you will get a quest that will let you inside.

Urdavah Research Institute

Urdavah is a region available throughout the game, but players won’t need to visit here until Chapter 10 in the main story.

Delesyian Research Institute

Early story chapters see the entire region of Delesyian as aggressive toward the player, making it a very dangerous place to explore. We suggest waiting until the area is safer before committing to join this Research Institute.

Gorthak Research Institute

Gorthak Research Institute is unavailable until the latter stages of the campaign due to an ongoing conflict in the area.

Dewhaven Research Institute

Dewhaven is probably one of the last Research Institutions you’ll find because it’s in an area filled with aggressive enemies, the guards will attack you on sight, so approach with caution.

Blaine Smith

Blaine Smith, or Smith as he prefers to be called as he doesn't have to repeat it four times before people get it, is one of the original founders of Gamers Heroes. Smith has been playing games for over 30 years, from Rex & 180 on ZX Spectrum to the latest releases on the ninth generation of consoles. RPG's are his go-to genre, with the likes of Final Fantasy, Legend of Legaia, and Elder Scrolls being among his favorites, but he'll play almost anything once (except Dark Souls). You can best reach him on Twitter
