How To Steal Items In Crimson Desert

Crimson Desert features a robust illegal activities system that allows players to commit crimes in return for profit, or jail time. In this guide, we explain the basics of stealing, how it’s unlocked, and how it works.
How To Unlock Stealing

When you are exploring the game world and you look at items laying around, there are typically two options. Take and Steal. Take means the item is not owned and can be taken freely, without penalty. Steal means the item legally belongs to someone else and if caught, you will have a bounty placed on you.
However, without the appropriate item, the Steal option is greyed out, it cannot be used. That’s because you need an item with the “allows criminal behaviour” perk. One such item is the Mask.
This item can be found freely from looting bandits and other human enemies but the fastest way to get one is to purchase one.
You can buy one from 10 Bronze pieces at the Back Alley Shop, which is located on the outskirts of Hernand, just to the South East.
Once equipped, you are free to commit illegal activities such as threatening NPC’s, stealing items, or pickpocketing. You can avoid getting caught stealing anything with the epic item Great Thief’s Gloves.
